Chemically Enhanced Primary Treatment (CEPT) is a wastewater treatment solution that uses coagulants to combine solids and force them to settle more quickly. Once solids are settled and removed, the water is disinfected and then neutralized. This treatment process enables the facility to handle increases to and unexpected wet weather flows without increasing biological treatment capacity.
