Located in the Northeast corner of Arizona’s Phoenix Valley, the Town of Carefree, Arizona, sought to self-maintain and modernize its water storage facilities for this growing bedroom community. As a result of this need, B&N provided sub-consultant design and construction management services for a 300,000-gallon water reservoir tank that included site development, a new tank layout, a chlorination building, tank inlet vault, tank effluent metering vault, tank overflow, specific tank features and site fencing. To maintain the desert small-town aesthetic, the design team provided a partially buried water tank solution to appease the Town and local community. The addition of this reservoir has allowed Carefree to keep up with rapid regional growth and to be water self-sufficient.
