B&N has been tasked with updating Polk County’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Action Plan in order to qualify for federal funds towards their Civil Infrastructure Platform (CIP) projects. The ADA Action Plan was originally drafted in 2011 and was last updated in 2013. Items of work include documenting the progress to date to address physical obstacles that could limit access for a disabled person to transportation facilities, preparing strategies, methods, and procedures to correct future deficiencies and develop a schedule for addressing known deficiencies as a result of the planned project improvements. This project also includes conducting a public workshop to present the process, criteria, and strategies to interested parties.
