B&N was contracted by the City of Nampa, Idaho, in 2022 to develop a RAISE Grant application for their North Nampa Neighborhood revitalization project. B&N developed the grant narrative, project budget and schedule and organized coordination with stakeholders (ITD, UPRR, City agencies, Urban Renewal District, COMPASS, Valley Regional Transit (VRT)). Project team members coordinated closely with the City of Nampa to prioritize which improvements to the neighborhood were most crucial to improve connectivity, safety and quality of life for area residents.
B&N developed the RAISE grant application in two months. The City of Nampa ultimately secured the grant and received $5 million for improvements. The improvements included a signature pedestrian structure into downtown over the UPRR Railyard, evaluation and rehabilitation of over 700 curb ramps, thousands of feet of sidewalk infill, a new trail along Indian Creek, RRFB crossings, widened railroad structures to provide space for pedestrians and improved access to VRT through interactive kiosks and new park and ride facilities.
