Burgess & Niple (B&N) was retained to assess and remediate potential environmental impacts at the Dayton Racino Development Property through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Voluntary Action Program (VAP).
During the concrete slab demolition it was discovered that floor tile remained in many parts of the former building slab. B&N created an assessment sampling plan and utilized certified asbestos sampling professionals to collect representative samples of the floor tile.
The samples confirmed that most of the remaining floor tiles were asbestos containing materials (ACM). B&N certified asbestos abatement design professionals created an abatement plan and worked with local agencies during the assessment and abatement design. B&N also supervised the abatement of the remaining floor tile to ensure that standards were met and proper protocols were followed.
