As part of the Bicycling Master Plan for the City of Phoenix, the city continues to focus heavily on urbanizing while providing safe and consistent bicycle/pedestrian paths and networks for outdoor recreation, including bicycle and pedestrian safety corridors. B&N was selected to provide multi-modal improvements along 20th Street – from Highland to the Canal in the Biltmore area. The team completed final design services to provide consistent bike lanes, pedestrian-friendly walking paths, and intersections. To provide these updates, improvements to 100+ driveways and the addition of curb ramps for ADA compliance were provided. These updates create a safe and easily accessible alternative transportation network in Eastern Phoenix. Additionally, four signalized intersections were updated, and new street lighting was installed to enhance the area's visibility and safety.
