In the City of Hampton, Virginia, B&N prepared a master plan to renovate Briarfield Park, a regional 49-acre athletic park that features four lighted softball fields, five lighted tennis courts, four picnic shelters, a fitness trail, and a large playground.
The City of Hampton wanted to create a destination park for softball tournaments with upgraded site amenities. Plans included updating a designated field to use for championship games, increasing parking, adding a trail to provide pedestrian connectivity between fields, improving drainage, adding a new dog run area, and upgrading the playground for ADA compliance.
The Master Plan also includes the following features:
- Concessions area
- Upgraded press box
- Upgraded bleachers
- Batting cage
- Administration building
- Restrooms
- Stormwater management
- Landscaping buffers
