B&N designed and provided construction administration services to update pipelines with a long-lasting and innovative design to update Mesa to the latest and greatest for future City growth. During the design phase, an innovative trenchless method called “modified slip-lining” was utilized to rehabilitate a 42-inch Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) water main, one of the first applications of its kind in the State of Arizona. A new pipe was installed as a liner inside the existing deteriorated pipe. The compressed schedule ensured that the rehabilitation of this critical supply line would be complete before summer high water usage. Updates to this infrastructure paved the way for Mesa to keep up with population increases in the project area.
