Mat Aldridge, CE, PWS | Columbus, OH
Mat has led the growth of B&N’s ecological services, transforming them into a standalone offering with clients like Ohio EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and The Nature Conservancy. He spearheaded the Ohio EPA WET 20 Study, guiding more than a dozen scientists in evaluating 50 sites to help set Ohio’s wetland delineation standards. As one of B&N’s first drone pilots, Mat also helped shape our UAV program, expanding its applications to traffic, utility and site lighting studies. He demonstrates an impressive mix of environmental science expertise and forward-thinking technology integration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Virginia University.
Mark Atkinstall, PE | Tampa, FL
Mark brought 20+ years of utility coordination and civil engineering experience to B&N, quickly becoming an important contributor in the Tampa office. His dual expertise in utility infrastructure and transportation allowed him to unify disciplines and drive quality control on key projects like US 98 design-build project. Mark has expanded our Florida footprint through contracts with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Districts 1 and 5 and Hillsborough County. His industry reputation continues to open new avenues for growth. As Vice-Chair of the Florida Utility Coordinating Committee, he plays a prominent leadership role in shaping state utility coordination standards. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Grady Dennis, EIT | Austin, TX
Grady leads B&N’s field services group in Texas, overseeing strategic growth, operations and talent development. He expanded the team to four field staff, integrated young engineers from both Austin offices and helped bring B&N’s municipal services to new clients such as the City of Waller, Texas. Grady also champions innovative tools like PipeAId™, frequently delivering client presentations to demonstrate its value. His blend of technical ability, business acumen and mentoring has made him integral to our Texas operations and a go-to resource for building high-performing field teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Stephanie Gluck | Columbus, OH
Stephanie drives B&N’s learning and development programs with nearly 12 years of HR experience. She has advanced key initiatives like Aspire, Strengths Workshops and LinkedIn Learning Deep Dives on topics ranging from accountability to project management. A Certified StrengthsFinder Coach, she fosters collaboration and mutual understanding among teams. Her ability to align training with strategic goals has enhanced employee capabilities and strengthened client and staff relationships. Stephanie also serves on the Culture Committee, reinforcing B&N’s identity as a place where people thrive and grow professionally. She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Learning Technologies from The Ohio State University.
Andrew Goodrich, PE | Parkersburg, WV
Andrew has spent over a decade delivering high-impact bridge engineering solutions at B&N. He has led complex projects such as the Parkersburg Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation and the New River Gorge Bridge Inspection, combining technical skill with strong project management. Andrew collaborates across offices on structural evaluations and construction observation and is a contributor to our national presence, having presented at the International Bridge Conference and Southeast Bridge Preservation Partnership. As a supervisor and mentor, he builds strong client relationships and inspires excellence across multidisciplinary teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Fairmont State College.
David Griffith, PE | Cincinnati, OH
David is a versatile site civil design engineer with strengths in technology integration and client service. He has supported architectural projects, served as deputy project manager on the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) Pump Station project and contributed significantly to the MSDGC’s Sewer Backup Prevention Program. David is a go-to resource for drone-to-survey integration and excels in developing reality capture outputs. He builds lasting relationships with clients like MSDGC, Great Parks of Hamilton County and the University of Cincinnati, offering a holistic understanding of their needs and positioning B&N as a trusted partner across disciplines. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Max Kitten, PE | Indianapolis, IN
Max combines technical excellence with leadership in roadway design. Over his 12-year tenure, he has demonstrated expertise in Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) standards, hydraulic design and software tools. He consistently delivers high-quality solutions and mentors junior staff, fostering team growth. Max’s effectiveness as a Project Manager is reflected in repeat work with INDOT and his ability to win new contracts. He also excels at driving project deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. His thoughtful communication style and proactive problem-solving make him a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues alike. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville.
Mike Kronander, PE | Columbus, OH
Mike blends structural engineering expertise with a forward-looking approach to technology. He helped launch B&N’s UAV/drone program in 2019 and continues to lead innovations in remote inspection. As a Project Manager, he has cultivated relationships with the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT), Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), while also serving as a specialist in post-tensioned and cable-supported bridges. Mike recently transitioned to Bridge Design while pursuing a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering. He is also active in technology development, playing a key role when B&N partnered with Bentley in their Early Adopter Program on the iTwin platform. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Jai Lee, PE | Columbus, OH
Jai brings over 32 years of bridge engineering experience to B&N, with deep expertise in load rating analysis, bridge rehabilitation and technical research. He is one of B&N’s lead analysts for Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) statewide contracts, where he ensures consistent, high-quality deliverables. Jai has been instrumental in expanding B&N’s work in Korea through presentations, client relationship building, winning inspection and design contracts and sharing his knowledge at industry conferences and internal forums. Jai’s drive, discipline and global perspective have opened new doors for B&N. He holds both a Bachelor and Master of Engineering from Inha University in Korea.
Robert Mayfield, PE | Richmond, VA
Robert brought over 31 years of mechanical engineering experience to B&N when he joined the firm in 2024 and quickly became a pivotal leader. He successfully led Phase 1 of Virginia Tech’s $3.6 million chiller plant upgrade, aligning cross-discipline teams and maintaining scope, schedule and budget. His approach earned the trust of university stakeholders and positioned B&N for future opportunities. Robert also mentors younger engineers, helping elevate their technical and client-service capabilities. His ability to build client relationships has expanded our business reach beyond the Richmond office and solidified strategic partnerships. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Robert Paquin, RSP1 | Oklahoma City, OK
Robert applies over a decade of transportation safety experience to drive growth for B&N in Oklahoma and nationally. He has collaborated on safety projects with teams in Columbus, Phoenix, Tampa, Portland and Louisville, and played a key role in securing a New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) subconsultant contract with Lee Engineering. Robert’s ability to connect with clients, subconsultants and internal teams continues to strengthen B&N’s regional impact. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Wes Scatena, PE | Phoenix, AZ
Wes plays a critical role in B&N’s Phoenix Roadway Section, including serving as a supplemental project manager with Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). His detailed knowledge of ADOT expectations has made him a frequently requested task lead and a valuable contributor to strategic pursuits. Wes supports B&N’s efforts to win increasingly complex ADOT projects and has strengthened the firm’s image through reliability and leadership. His ability to balance client service and internal coordination makes him a go-to team member for Arizona transportation work. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University.
Ryan VanZandt | Columbus, OH
With over 35 years at B&N, Ryan is a cornerstone of the Environmental Division’s design team. He specializes in site design work that includes site layout, grading, utilities and stormwater management for industrial, recreational and commercial projects—including Scioto Audubon, Quarry Trails and Alum Creek Marina. Ryan also leads B&N’s AutoCAD Users Group, exploring new tools and improving design efficiency across the firm while establishing consistency in the quality and appearance of B&N’s design drawings. He also mentors engineers, geologists and interns in the use of Civil 3D, InfraWorks, SiteOps and OpenGround, helping integrate advanced tools into everyday workflows and raising the bar on design deliverables.
Will Ward | Columbus, OH
Will brings over 35 years of experience as a designer and lead CADD operator in B&N’s Collection and Distribution Section. From board drafting to becoming a sought-after utility and roadway designer, Will has embraced evolving technology to improve design accuracy and workflow efficiency. He provides CADD support to multiple disciplines and offices and is deeply involved in final plan reviews and standards enforcement. Will is a mentor, a process improver and a key player in maintaining high-quality deliverables to multiple offices and disciplines across the firm. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Columbus State Community College.
Alyssa Whitten, PE, PTOE | Phoenix, AZ
Alyssa joined B&N in 2024 and quickly emerged as a top traffic engineer in the Phoenix region. Her positive presence, technical strength and client-first approach have made her highly sought-after by both internal teams and public agencies, resulting in several project wins since her arrival. Her experience includes traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking design, roadway lighting, traffic control, intersection alternatives analyses and traffic signal timing and optimization. Alyssa combines deep engineering knowledge with excellent communication and team-building skills, positioning her as a future leader in traffic services. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University.
Carey Wright, PE | Tampa, FL
Carey brings 20 years of roadway design experience and municipal project leadership to B&N. His understanding of client-specific processes, particularly for Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties, has driven significant wins for Florida’s Roadway Section. Carey manages projects requiring both ORD and AutoCAD platforms and builds strong client relationships by understanding goals and tailoring design solutions. He also leads tight-turnaround efforts with professionalism and precision, making him a vital contributor to B&N’s growth in the municipal market. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida.
Kyle Wroblewski, PE | Fort Worth, TX
Since joining B&N in 2024, Kyle has quickly become a strategic leader in the Fort Worth office. He has expanded the client base, supported statewide business development and championed tools like PipeAId™ through client-facing presentations. Kyle has taken on existing projects and led new pursuits, all while fostering a positive office culture and mentoring team members. His leadership style combines technical proficiency with strong interpersonal skills, making him a key force in growing B&N’s Texas presence. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
