B&N Elects 11 Associate Owners

We are pleased to announce the election of 11 new Associate Owners, effective January 2022. Please join us in congratulating them on this career milestone.

TIM ANTOS, PE

Tim joined B&N in 2000 and currently leads the Painesville Section of Great Lakes Utility Infrastructure Group. Tim provides senior technical expertise and is well versed in sanitary sewer collection system layout and design, pipe inspection and evaluation, preparation of opinions of probable construction costs, and trenchless sewer rehabilitation methods such as horizontal directional drilling, pipe bursting and cured in place pipelining. Tim has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University.

DON ARNOLD, RA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

Don is the Director of the Cincinnati Architecture Section. He joined B&N in 2004 and has 36 years of extensive experience serving as a project manager on a variety of buildings for military, commercial, industrial/manufacturing, laboratory, airport, office, medical, pharmaceutical and educational clients. His expertise includes site/master planning, programming, cost estimating, design, construction documentation, building code evaluation, permitting, bidding assistance and construction services. Don earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University.

DANA BISCAN, PE, LEED AP

Dana is the Director of the Phoenix Transportation Planning Section. She has 18 years of planning and design experience with a diverse background that includes delivering complex projects that balance stakeholder needs and technical engineering analysis and design. Dana excels at managing the planning process, stakeholder and public participation, documentation and big picture idea generation. She is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

MIKE DAVIS, PE

Mike joined B&N in 2008 and is a Project Engineer in the Parkersburg office. His 24 years of combined expertise includes a variety of water preliminary investigations, process designs, detailed facility designs and construction phase services. He has served as the project engineer and manager for the planning, design and construction of tanks, pipelines, water pump stations and treatment facilities. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University.

ROD DICKERSON

Rod joined B&N in 2019 as Chief Technology Officer with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Information Technology. Since joining B&N, he has led several initiatives to improve B&N’s IT infrastructure including the addition of tools to support our transition to work from home, a cybersecurity training initiative, enhanced resiliency/disaster recovery, and the effective integration of new technology such as augmented/virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and BIM modeling into business development and project delivery. Rod earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Franklin University and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University.

JEFF EILERS, PE

Jeff is the Director of the Cincinnati Water/Wastewater Section and has been with B&N for 17 years. He is an experienced Project Manager with water and wastewater expertise that ranges from preliminary investigations to process design, detailed facility design and construction services. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University.

JOHN KILGORE, PE

John joined B&N in 2020 with 32 years of experience in transportation/roadway engineering and serves as the Director of the Florida Transportation Group. Over the course of his career, John has been involved in a range of projects for the Florida Department of Transportation and has managed and designed numerous interstate improvements including interchange reconstruction and modifications, capacity improvements and complex design-build projects. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.

DAVID LENZER, PE

David is the Director of the Phoenix Transportation Scoping & Design Section. With 16 years of experience as a transportation engineer and project manager, David has led a wide variety of transportation-related work for municipalities, counties, Departments of Transportation and other agencies. His expertise includes all aspects of project development including the planning, design and construction phases. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

JASON MATHIAS, PE

Jason has been with B&N since 2006 and is a Transportation Engineer in the Indianapolis Roadway Section. Jason’s 16 years of experience includes detailed design and plan development of highway and interchange projects, small structure replacements and urban and rural roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction projects. He has worked with each of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Districts, providing cost-saving ideas and quality designs. Jason has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville.

KENDRA SCHENK, PE, PTOE, RSP

Kendra is a Safety Specialist and Transportation Engineer in the Columbus Traffic Section. During her 10 years at B&N, she has worked with states, local agencies and Metropolitan Planning Organizations to reduce crashes on their roadways. Kendra is a member of the Transportation Research Board’s standing committee on Transportation Safety Management and is one of less than 100 second level Road Safety Professionals. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.

JOHN SWARTZBAUGH, PE

John is the Director of the Collection and Distribution Section in Columbus. Over the past 23 years with the firm, John’s experience has included green infrastructure, sanitary sewer evaluation studies, sewer rehabilitations, stormwater designs and other water and sewer Capital Improvement Projects. Since 2010, he has served as project manager for over 100 projects and provided engineering services for over 160 additional projects. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University.
