B&N Elects New President/CEO and Chairman
On July 9, 2019, the Shareholders of Burgess & Niple, Inc. (B&N) elected a new President and CEO and a new Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mark Bernhardt, PE was elected President and CEO of the firm. Mark joined B&N in 1997, became a Shareholder in 2010, and served six terms on the Board of Directors, including two years in the role of Chairman. Mark previously served as the Director of the Transportation Division in the firm’s Columbus office and is a nationally recognized bridge evaluation expert. Mark succeeds Ron Schultz, PE, who announced his plans to retire earlier this year following a 43-year career with B&N, which included terms as both President and Chairman.
Ed Muccillo, PE was elected Chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors. Ed joined B&N in 1994, became a Shareholder in 2010, served five terms on the Board of Directors, and is currently the Director of Southwest Operations out of Phoenix, Arizona. With a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure, he has led a wide range of public infrastructure projects throughout his 25-year career. He succeeds Mark E. Bernhardt, PE who held the position of Chairman since 2017.
