Burgess & Niple Elects Five New Owners
Burgess & Niple (B&N) is pleased to announce the expansion of its leadership team with the election of five new Owners.
Effective January 2, 2018, B&N’s newly elected Owners are:
Edward Cinadr, PE
Ed is the Director of Facility Inspection in B&N’s Columbus office. During his 20-year career with the firm, he has led bridge inspection, load rating, and bridge design projects for Departments of Transportation and many local agencies across the country. Ed earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio University.
Michelle Jenks, SHRM-SCP
Michelle is B&N’s Director of Human Resources. In this role, she leads talent recruitment, hiring, and development efforts, as well as safety programs, wellness initiatives, benefit administration, annual performance review processes, and compensations programs. Michelle joined the firm in 2004 and has a Bachelor of Arts from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University.
Matt Lewellyn, PE
Matt joined B&N in 1997 and is currently a Senior Project Manager in the Parkersburg office. He has led major transportation projects including the design of the new I-79 Interchange in Morgantown, West Virginia and the rehabilitation of the iconic New River Gorge Bridge. Matt attended West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration.
Dr. Steven Sanders, PE
Dr. Sanders joined B&N in 2009 and currently serves as Director of the Dallas District. His career focus has been in the areas of municipal and environmental engineering. Dr. Sanders earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Missouri at Columbia, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Science in Facilities Management from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Engineering from Purdue University, and a Doctorate of Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
John Shanks, PE
John joined the firm in 1990 and serves as Director of the Bridge and Structural Design Section in the Columbus office. With 33 years of experience, John plays a significant role on bridge design and rehabilitation projects as a designer, peer reviewer, or project manager. His bridge design experience includes leading the award-winning Rich Street Bridge project in Columbus, Ohio. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.
