Sawmill Parkway Extension Named Project of the Year by Central Ohio ASHE

Project team members from B&N, the Delaware County Engineer’s Office and Trucco Construction accept the Project of the Year award from the Central Ohio Section of ASHE.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Sawmill Parkway Extension Project was recognized as the Project of the Year by the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Central Ohio Section in the over $5 million category. Located in Delaware County, the 4.5-mile roadway provides an important connection to the Columbus metro area. It was designed to improve travel times, reduce congestion and help drive job creation in Ohio’s fastest growing county.

The new B&N-designed four-lane divided roadway includes five roundabouts, a bike path along the entire length, and opens up access to 1,600 acres of land for development. With a portion of the project located within city limits, the City of Delaware calls the Sawmill Parkway Extension, “The City of Delaware’s most significant transportation project for the last 30 years.”

Congratulations to Delaware County, Trucco Construction and the entire project team on this recognition!
