COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) presented Burgess & Niple (B&N) with the Innovative Transportation Solutions Award at their annual awards dinner, held on February 5th in Columbus, Ohio. WTS is an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women.

The award was presented for the Front/Marconi Two-Way Conversion Project that was completed for the City of Columbus, Ohio. B&N designed the conversion of two downtown streets, Front Street and Marconi Boulevard, from one-way to two-way operation. The conversion is intended to reduce traffic speeds and improve traffic circulation and parking. B&N also designed streetscape enhancements and improved pedestrian access throughout the corridor.

Congratulations to Project Manager Emilie Worley, PE, PTOE, and the project team.
