B&N Elects New Owner
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Burgess & Niple (B&N) is pleased to announce the election of Steve Thieken PE, PTOE to an owner of the firm effective January 1, 2014.
Steve serves as Director of the Transportation System Design & Planning Group in the firm’s Columbus, Ohio office. During his 20-year career and 17-year tenure with B&N, he has managed complex transportation projects and provided clients with complete transportation systems solutions.
Steve is a technically engaged expert in multimodal transportation planning and design. He currently manages a group of engineers and planners who perform a wide range of transportation planning and design services.
A registered Professional Engineer (PE) in six states and a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Steve shares his expertise nationally, having presented at various conferences, including those held by the American Public Works Association, Transportation Research Board and Institute of Transportation Engineers. Topics have included access management, downtown revitalization, livability, public involvement, project visualization, innovative interchanges and roundabouts.
