Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a tool that can result in cost and time savings by incorporating machine learning algorithms that capture and recreate the workflow in coding and performing the QA/QC of sewer inspections. The AI platform developed by B&N also incorporates GIS into the reporting by creating a digital twin of the collection system. This shows the condition of sewer assets and geospatially locates each defect and construction feature along a pipe. The presentation focuses on a case study where AI cut the project timeline and cost in half while providing more accurate and detailed data.
Correcting bridge deficiencies in a timely fashion has become a top priority for local agency bridge owners. It can be challenging to develop a comprehensive plan to address these deficient structures due to the variety of bridge types, structure age, and coordination with stakeholders such as elected officials and non-engineers. This presentation will include cost-effective procedures used to address public safety, including closure, repair, or replacement of the bridge. Speakers will also share multiple case studies covering an array of bridge repairs and rehabilitation.
