A key consideration when implementing Performance Based Flexible Solutions (PBFS) is the impact on safety. Safety is also an important metric when selecting a preferred alternative or prioritizing projects. This presentation will use project examples that illustrate how safety analyses is used to justify and implement PBFS, evaluate alternatives, and prioritize projects.
