This presentation will review several Ohio case studies and how they addressed the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Post-Construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) requirements for controlling water quality by the Ohio EPA’s Construction Stormwater Permit and quantity (discharge rate) control required at the local level.

The case studies include greenfield construction of a large manufacturing facility in Circleville; linear construction of the Sawmill Parkway extension in Columbus; modifications to existing storm water facilities for the new State Route 315 interchange projects at Riverside Hospital in Columbus; working within aging infrastructure to establish a new facility as part of  the Whittier Peninsula Redevelopment in Columbus; and the use of constructed wetlands for stormwater treatment of both industrial and agricultural runoff at Honda of America in Marysville; and the creation of wetlands and wet prairies for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks in Franklin and Madison Counties.
