 B&N Transportation Planner Responsibilities

  • Support the transportation planning team with projects such as state, regional, and local safety plans, long and short range transportation plans, site-specific studies and multimodal plans
  • Responsibilities may include stakeholder engagement, data analysis, document writing, and client interactions
  • Interest in learning about project management and leadership

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a 4-year degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), Civil Engineering or similar
  • 0-2 years of experience in Urban Transportation planning, Safety planning, or other planning or engineering studies or analysis
  • Ability to achieve certification by American Institute of Certified Planners in the future
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required, experience with GIS is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
