Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil Engineer, Transportation to join our multi-discipline engineering consulting firm in our office Tampa, FL.

B&N Civil Engineer, Transportation Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and production of roadway, drainage, and/or traffic construction plans
  • Assist with preparation of documents for local governments or other clients
  • Typical duties would include working on studies, reports, plan quantities, cost estimating, coordination
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and Design staff
  • Enhance B&N’s presence in the community by providing professional services to enhance the economy and quality of life
  • Assist with the development of bid/contract documents
  • Thrive in an organization that constantly adapts and evolves with client needs
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies and the public and perform occasional field / site visits

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
  • 0-4 years of experience
  • Software proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel) and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • EI or ability to take Florida FE within one year of hire
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
