Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Traffic Engineer, Entry Level to join our team in Tampa or Orlando.

B&N Traffic Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow agency standards and guidelines
  • Coordinate project drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD software
  • Complete design tasks and produce high quality plans, specifications, and estimate deliverables to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules
  • Develop traffic operations and safety studies to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
  • EI/EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 1 year
  • 0-4 years of related traffic experience
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, Microstation Open Roads Designer (ORD), Civil 3D, and/or AGI32 Lighting preferred
  • Experience with Synchro and/or Vissim is a plus
  •  Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
