We are expanding our team in the Pacific Northwest, and we are looking for a motivated Project Manager/Bridge Engineer to manage and lead bridge design projects in our Portland, Oregon office. Come collaborate with some of the top bridge design professionals in the industry. This position will provide a confident self-starter the opportunity for career advancement, while contributing to the firm’s growth in bridge engineering in Oregon.

B&N Project Manager/Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

  • Manage the bridge design project delivery to create an exemplary client experience to a wide variety of clients including the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and cities & counties throughout the stat
  • Contribute towards the development of B&N’s Bridge Services marketing strategy that focuses on providing excellent repeat services to our current clients and expanding our client base
  • Collaborate on project pursuits and technical challenges
  • Lead design and monitor task performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and contribute to management of risk
  • Lead the design and production of bridge plans for ODOT and local agency projects
  • Coach junior level staff and collaborate with PE’s across the firm

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Oregon, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 10+ of related bridge design experience
  • Prior proposal development and client relationship management experience is desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with MicroStation or equivalent CAD software as well as bridge design software required
  • Knowledge of OpenBridge Modeler a plus
  • Great communication and team leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
