Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry level Transportation “Plangineer” to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

B&N Transportation Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff
  • Support the development of transportation planning documents and plans, potentially including documentation, assessment, data analysis, traffic analysis, and solution development
  • Support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including  long-range transportation plans, corridor studies, concept development, traffic analysis, preliminary engineering, and safety plans and analysis
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies, and the public

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program or equivalent
  • 0-4 years of transportation planning/engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with AutoCAD , MicroStation, or GIS is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
