Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Transportation Section Director. This position can be filled in our Parkersburg Office or in the Charleston, WV area with opportunity to assist in the startup of this new office location. 

B&N Transportation Section Director Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the engineering section including utilization, profitability, growth and marketing, talent management, coaching and mentoring
• Plan, manage, execute and deliver complex transportation projects on-time, on budget, and to the performance expectations of the client
• Create and monitor scopes of work and budgets for various roadway, traffic, and bridge projects for WVDOT and other clients
• Monitor all financial aspects of the project including invoicing, budget status, accounts receivable, and monthly reports
• Develop and implement business development growth plan for the section including marketing and client relations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
• 15+ years of related Transportation projects with project and staff management experience
• PE registration in the State of West Virginia required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to motivate project teams in meeting client’s needs while maintaining budget objectives
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience maintaining client relationships
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
