Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. B&N is looking for an entry level Civil Engineer to join our team in Parkersburg.

B&N Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Engage with project stakeholders and team members on a variety of projects, which may include the design of water lines, sewer lines, roadway, traffic, and/or bridge projects for municipal and state clients in the region
• Be involved in plan preparation, geometrics, quantity calculations, design calculations, and/or permit preparation
• Utilize and further develop drafting skills in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
• Gain field experience to inspect, assess and verify infrastructure conditions, which may include documentation of construction activities, bridge inspection, manhole inspection, and/or assistance with survey crews

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
• Engineer Intern (EI) registration required or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD a plus
• Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
