Burgess & Niple is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our multi-discipline engineering consulting firm in our Oklahoma City Office. This position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our local team and utilize their design and technical expertise on interesting and challenging projects.

B&N Transportation Engineer Responsibilities:

  • As part of the project team, complete design tasks for bridge, highway, roadway, streets, traffic & safety, pedestrian or bike trail projects for DOT and local agencies
  • Complete plan preparation including geometrics, grading and drainage, construction sequencing and traffic control in collaboration with a diverse project team
  • Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and reports for a variety of rural and urban projects from low volume roadways to major freeways and complex interchanges
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration in Oklahoma or ability to obtain through reciprocity within six months. 
  • 5 years of related transportation design and delivery experience
  • Experience with CAD design software
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
