Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a part-time Engineering Co-op to join our team in Oklahoma City.

B&N Engineering Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and learn from experienced professional engineers locally and throughout the firm
  • Increase your knowledge of utility and transportation infrastructure design in a real-life application of civil engineering
  • Assist engineers with project planning and scoping, preliminary plan development and final design, cost estimates, and specifications
  • Gain drafting skills in AutoCAD/MicroStation on a variety of civil engineering disciplines such as, urban, and rural roadway design, structural design, traffic design/analysis, drainage design, geometric design, and field inspections
  • Opportunities to complete engineering analysis and design tasks for projects using various software
  • You may be able to gain additional field experience and may travel to project sites within Oklahoma and Texas

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in engineering (civil preferred) from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of your undergraduate degree
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word. AutoCAD/MicroStation experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a team setting
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
