Join our growing team of engineering professionals and technicians performing transportation infrastructure design and support project development in Oklahoma and the region.

B&N Engineering Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers and designers with tasks such as drafting and design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages
• Support completion of engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel
• Support creation of construction specifications using Microsoft Word
• Prepare final design details and work with staff to produce final construction deliverables for a variety of transportation projects
• Assist with inspecting, documenting, and reporting bridge conditions for routine or special bridge inspection assignments in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)
• Assist with reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts working with DOT’s, counties and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma with vocational school or associate degree in related program preferred
• 2 or more years of related experience in transportation infrastructure design
• Software experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, required
• MicroStation, ORD and/or AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience is preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, read plans, and drawings
• Knowledge of transportation engineering standards and specifications with the ability to assist with plan production and perform calculations and estimates
• Effective communication skills and strong understanding of plan clarity with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to work in the field and travel occasionally  
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history required
