Join our growing team of engineering professionals and technicians performing transportation infrastructure design and support project development in Oklahoma and the region.
B&N Engineering Technician Responsibilities:
Assist engineers and designers with tasks such as drafting and design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages
Support completion of engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel
Support creation of construction specifications using Microsoft Word
Prepare final design details and work with staff to produce final construction deliverables for a variety of transportation projects
Assist with inspecting, documenting, and reporting bridge conditions for routine or special bridge inspection assignments in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)
Assist with reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts working with DOT’s, counties and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma with vocational school or associate degree in related program preferred
2 or more years of related experience in transportation infrastructure design
Software experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, required
MicroStation, ORD and/or AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience is preferred
Ability to follow oral and written instructions, read plans, and drawings
Knowledge of transportation engineering standards and specifications with the ability to assist with plan production and perform calculations and estimates
Effective communication skills and strong understanding of plan clarity with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to work in the field and travel occasionally
A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history required
