Are you a motivated, energetic, and ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a Senior Construction Manager to be part of a growing team building B&N’s Construction Service practice in Indianapolis, IN.

B&N Senior Construction Manager Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, documents, and verifies that work in progress by the construction contractor is in compliance with contract documents including the plans, specifications, schedule, shop drawings and other documents 
  • Ensures construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into the project conform to the project material specifications 
  • Reviews and resolves construction issues and disputes with the contractor and owner
  • Reviews inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received 
  • Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform complicated mathematical calculations, constructability, and schedule reviews, and tracking of pay item completed
  • Performs on-site material testing equipment
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
  • Create as-built record drawings
  • Write technical reports summarizing inspection findings
  • Prepare change orders, progress estimates, weekly reports and other associated documents for projects
  • Assist Project Manager with tracking costs and hours on project
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Supervision of staff could be required including mentoring and training employees

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET accredited program) or bachelor’s degree construction management  
  • 8+years’ construction related experience
  • All required jurisdictional certificates and statement requirements required
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Work frequently requires working at client’s job site, construction trailer, and in a field environment. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment, and walking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Great communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
