Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Construction Manager to join our team in Indianapolis.

B&N Construction Manager Responsibilities:

  • Monitors work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction
  • Monitors contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms and specifications
  • Provides general inspection on construction labor and subcontracted tasks
  • Provides report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received
  • Ensures construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into project conform to the project material specifications
  • Performs on-site material testing and verification
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
  • Create and compile close out / final construction records documents for submission
  • Ensures client satisfaction throughout life of projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET accredited) or construction management required
  • Ability to obtain all 6 INDOT Certified Technician Courses in first year of employment, if Bachelor’s degree is not an engineering degree
  • 1 -3 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment, and walking
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
