Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Utility Coordinator to join our team in Indianapolis.

B&N Utility Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and utility company staff to track and stay informed with utility coordination for all assigned projects
  • Keep utility correspondence logs up to date for active projects and track utility correspondence due dates, downloads, and responses for major request items prior to scheduled due dates
  • Track and update project charts to ensure that utility relocations are on schedule and all dependent utilities are notified
  • Keep utility company involvement list current
  • Assist in drafting and sending out correspondence letters, coordination notices and notice-to-proceeds
  • Monitor project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ utility or construction related experience
  • INDOT utility certification required. Familiarity with INDOT UMS once certified
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro required
  • Knowledge of MicroStation for drafting assistance preferred
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
