Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our team in Houston.

B&N Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff
  • Participate in delivering projects related to land planning, site design, feasibility/cost opinions and final civil construction plan design for land development clients throughout the Texas and Arizona region (i.e. single family, multi-family, senior housing, assisted living and memory care facilities, commercial, retail and hospitality projects)
  • Learn and develop your skills creating bid/contract documents
  • Thrive in an organization that constantly adapts and evolves with client needs
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies and the public and don’t mind occasional construction administration duties and field / site visits

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer in Training registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 0-2 years’ experience in land development for residential, commercial, retail, and industrial type projects
  • Experience in multi-family and senior housing projects a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
