Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking an Entry Level Transportation Planner to join our Phoenix, AZ office.

 B&N Entry Level Transportation Planner Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of transportation plans and studies, potentially including documentation, assessment, data analysis, traffic analysis, and solution development
  • Work with Professional Engineers and Planners on a variety of transportation projects - including large area and long-range plans, corridor studies, safety studies, and roadway, traffic, and general civil engineering analysis 
  • Assist with preparing studies and writing reports  
  • Develop maps and graphics for plans and studies
  • Learn new methods and technologies such as ArcGIS Pro

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4-year degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), Sustainable Built Environments, or similar
  • 0-4 years of experience in Transportation planning, Safety planning, or other planning or engineering studies or analysis
  • Strong GIS and data analysis skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with ArcGIS is desirable
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
