Come work with a wide range of professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry level Civil Engineer to join our team in Flagstaff.

B&N Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff throughout various offices
  • Participate in delivering projects related to all aspects of roadway, drainage, and traffic engineering calculations, analysis, and design
  • Assist with the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; transportation studies; and report writing
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies, and the public
  • Utilize and further develop drafting skills in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Engineer Intern (EI) registration required or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience. Prior work experience, such as an internship, is desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Experience with AutoCAD is preferred. MicroStation experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
