Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Dallas.

B&N Civil Engineering Intern Responsibilities:

  • Work with our project team, collaborate and learn from experienced professional engineers locally and throughout the firm
  • Participate in delivering projects related to all aspects of transportation and water/wastewater projects including design calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Assist engineers with project scoping, preliminary plan design and final design
  • Develop construction plans, cost estimates, and specifications using design tools such as MicroStation and AutoCAD

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of your undergraduate degree
  • You have a strong interest in transportation, water/wastewater, and storm water engineering; previous internships are a plus
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel required. Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation is a plus
