    Join our team as an Accounting Assistant at Burgess & Niple! You'll handle everything from client invoices to vendor payments while working in our collaborative environment. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who's eager to grow their skills in a professional services setting.


    B&N Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Assist in managing time and project tracking systems.
    • Process client payments and prepare bank deposits.
    • Respond to client and internal staff inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account statuses.
    • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
    • Assist in processing expense reports and employee reimbursements.
    • Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams.
    • Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.


    Skills & Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma required.
    • 1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, and/or accounts payable.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Willingness to learn, apply new concepts, and accept coaching from peers and supervisors.
    • Experience working in an Engineering, Architecture, or other professional services firm is a plus.
    • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work in virtual collaboration environments as needed.
