Come work with a wide range of professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Columbus.

B&N Water/Wastewater Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and Design staff across the firm delivering projects related to a variety of water or wastewater treatment projects
  • Projects may include gravity sewers, force mains, lift stations, water mains, booster stations, rehabilitation projects, and water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Assist senior engineers with calculations, design, and contract document production for water/wastewater related projects
  • Assist with design and drawing production using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies and the public and don’t mind occasional construction administration duties and field / site visits 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or environmental engineering program. Spring 2025 graduates are encouraged to apply
  • EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from this application
  • 0-4 years of related civil or environmental engineering experience, prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Working knowledge with AutoCAD and REVIT preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
