Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a spring 2025 Engineering Co-op to join our team in Columbus.

B&N Engineering Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and learn from experienced professional engineers while working on transportation infrastructure projects
  • Increase your knowledge in preliminary plan creation, CAD design / plan production, traffic design / analysis, cost estimation, geometric design
  • Gain drafting and design skills in MicroStation on a variety of roadway project
  • Coordinate with adjacent disciplines such as traffic, structural, and environmental engineering
  • Analyze and solve complex engineering problems

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in engineering (civil preferred) from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of your undergraduate degree
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word. AutoCAD/MicroStation experience s plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a team setting
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
