Traffic Engineer

Collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry and participate in production of traffic design plans in Ohio and throughout the country. We are looking for a motivated Traffic Engineer to support our traffic design team in Columbus, OH.

B&N Traffic Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop signal, signing and striping, and traffic control plans for ODOT and Ohio local governments
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software
  • Opportunity to support design efforts nationwide
  • Work collaboratively with project and design team to lead and develop project deliverables to meet project objectives and schedule
  • Participate in meetings related to assigned projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Ohio, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 4+ years of related traffic design
  • Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microstation and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Prior Project Management experience beneficial but not required
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
