Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater) to join our Columbus office. This position provides an excellent career advancement opportunity to candidates looking to expand their client relationship and business development skills. 

B&N Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater) Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff throughout various offices
  • Participate in delivering projects related to all aspects of water and wastewater treatment systems and support facilities including design calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Assist with creating reports, cost estimates and review construction deliverables
  • Interact with clients, governing agencies, and the public
  • Gain experience doing field work/construction administration duties
  • Make a difference in the community you live in or serve by providing professional services to enhance the quality of life and the environment

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or environmental engineering program, Spring 2023 graduates are also encouraged to apply (anticipated start date May 2023)
  • EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from this application
  • 0-4 years of related civil or environmental engineering experience, prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with Revit a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
