Water/Wastewater Engineer

Come work with a wide range of professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Charleston, WV.

B&N Water/Wastewater Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks related to the design of water/wastewater and utility infrastructure processes and facilities, including CAD drafting
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
  • Perform construction related services including shop drawing review, response to requests for information, perform periodic site visits to observe construction, and perform field inspections, as needed
  • Provide support for project managers and senior design engineers
  • Be available to travel to other offices to provide support as needed

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • EIT or EI registration with a desire to become a PE
  • 2+ years of related water/wastewater experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD required; experience with REVIT a plus
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to utilize virtual collaboration tools
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
