Bridge Inspection Engineer/Project Manager

• Minimum Experience: 5 years

• Registration: Professional Engineer (PE)

B&N Bridge Inspection Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and manage complex bridge inspection and assessment projects.
• Lead and train younger staff in the field and in the office.
• Market new and existing clients, follow up on new business leads and help build bridge engineering services in Texas and regionally.
• Assist marketing and business development opportunities in other geographies.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment required; or ability to register through reciprocity
• Prior bridge inspection, design, and/or load rating experience required
• 2-week NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection certification, FC NHI/FHWA certification, SPRAT or IRATA rope access certification, and NHI Tunnel inspection certification are all desired
• Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with Bentley AssetWise and/or AASHTOWare BrM 
• Comfortable working at heights
• Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions
• Ability to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. of equipment
• Ability and willingness to travel for field work; Travel requirements may be up to 80+ days per year and include out-of-state travel depending on workload
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
